GINGER

For centuries ginger has been utilized as a medicinal herb.   It’s been used for treating such common ailments as headaches, stomach aches, nausea, motion sickness, indigestion, heartburn, sinus congestion, and even morning sickness.  More recently, it has been suggested as an aid for those suffering from chemotherapy as a way to combat nausea.

So, how can you incorporate ginger into your diet?  There are a number of ginger chews and candy on the market that will definitely do the trick.  You should be able to find a variety to select from at your local grocer or health food store.  Be sure, however, to check the label for sugar and calorie content.

I’m sure you’ve realized by now that I’m a big fan of healthy, and cheap, alternatives to medication.  In my opinion, ginger chews hit the mark, so be sure to give them a try and see if they work for you.
