Walnuts Health Benefits

Posted by in News

… only 46 days until the book release!

Could walnuts be the next superfood?  According to a study printed in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, walnuts can have more health benefits than olive oil.  Apparently, when we eat a fatty food, it disrupts the processes needed to keep arteries flexible.  This flexibility is important to allow proper blood flow.  Eating eight walnuts at the end of a meal may actually help to negate the effects of the fatty foods and help to protect the arteries.

This doesn’t mean you can eat whatever you want and then follow it with some walnuts and expect the two to cancel each other out!  It just means that incorporating some walnuts into your healthy diet will be added protection for your heart.

And, don’t forget that walnuts have calories!  If you’re planning on adding some to the end of your meal, keep that in mind and adjust your portions accordingly.
