According to a study published in the Journal of Applied Biobehavioral Research, people who imagine activities that they could do in order to get fit worked out twice as long as those who spent their time thinking about why they should be working out.

What does this mean to us?  Essentially what it’s suggesting is that you picture yourself involved in activities, whether it’s hiking, rock climbing, swimming, Pilates, yoga, or whatever.  This should help motivate you to get moving, get healthy and get back into your favorite jeans!

Personally, I like to flip through health and fitness magazines or watch an adventure movie or show to get myself pumped.  It always makes me want to jump off of the couch and get moving!  Try a few different approaches and see what works for you.
