What is clean eating?

There’s been a lot of talk lately about “clean eating” and how it’s not only healthy but can help you lose weight.  As a result, I’ve received a lot of questions from people wanting to know what “clean eating” is, how to do it and how it helps.

Clean eating is defined as eating foods in their most natural state or as close to their nature state as possible.  This means lots of vegetables, lean meats, whole grains and unflavored water.  This also means no preservatives!  The main things you want to avoid are processed foods, sugary and fried foods, foods with saturated or trans fats and alcohol.

As you can see, this form of dieting can really restrict what you consume.  But, based on this brief description, I’m sure you can also see how clean eating could help you stay healthy and fit!
