Steal These Jessica Alba Workouts!

Jessica Alba looks amazing, I don’t think anyone is going to debate that statement!

However, I have recently realized that she doesn’t get enough credit for how much effort she puts into her diet and fitness routine. She is one of those celebrities that always looks amazing – even after pregnancy – and most of just think, wow, lucky her. The truth is, Jessica has been on a ‘diet plan’ since she was 12 years old. Her family is all overweight and she didn’t want to go down that road. So she started cooking lean meats and vegetables for herself. She eats only a few, select complex carbs and spends time in the gym toning her curves.

So what does a Jessica Alba Workout Routine consist of?

Alba hit the gym three weeks after giving birth and eased herself into her routine with 25 minutes of core exercises such as crunches for the first two weeks. She gradually added 20 minutes of cardio and 15 minutes of circuit training, which includes chest presses and lunges. “Her arms are leaner, and her legs and hips are firmer,” says Braganza. Now working out six days a week for an hour doing three core workouts, two cardio sessions and one strength-training routine, Alba—who gained 35 lbs. during her pregnancy—has also incorporated boxing and hikes to shed about 8 more pounds. “She always gives me 100 percent,” says Braganza, “and her body shows it.”

Jessica said that her fitness exercise program involves her working out every day for 45 minutes to an hour, cardio exercises. It starts out on fitness machines like the treadmill or the elliptical machine for 10 to 15 minutes to get her heart rate up to 180 beats per minute. Then she does 50 lunges and crunches. Next, she gets back on the fitness machines for another 10 minutes. She then exercises her shoulders, biceps and triceps which she does nonstop for four sets.

Plus, word on the street is that she does HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) sets as well.

Think we can all learn some discipline and working out tips from Jessica Alba! We might even give her rockstar body a bit more appreciation because we know she is working hard to maintain it! Plus, she even mentioned in the GQ interview that she indulges in chocolate cake on occasion – see moderation is key!
