\"\"<\/a>I know we\u2019ve all been sending to the athletes and watching the event coverage but I just wanted to share with you some of my thoughts on the first few days of these Olympic Games.<\/p>\n

Opening Night:<\/strong>
\nI wasn\u2019t overwhelmed with the opening ceremony but it definitely had its highlights. Loved the Olympic rings forming overhead and then bursting into fireworks. Also, was way impressed with the firework display at the end – it seemed to be throughout the entire city!<\/p>\n

First couple of days:<\/strong>
\nI\u2019ve been watching lots of swimming, gymnastics and the occasional beach volleyball tournament. It\u2019s early in The Games but it all seems to be going smooth, the athletes are performing well and medals are being won!<\/p>\n

Spotlight on Michael Phelps:<\/strong>
\nI didn\u2019t get a chance to catch the 400 IM in which Phelps came in 4th but I did catch him and his teammates last night as they brought home a silver in the 4×100 Freestyle Relay. It will be interesting to see how Michael does in the upcoming events. I don\u2019t know about you, but I\u2019d still be OK with a 4th place Olympic finish! :)<\/p>\n
