THE ZEN OF SPRING CLEANING<\/h1>\n
You\u2019ve heard the expression \u2018a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind\u2019 and this really can be true!<\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\n

You always feel good when you\u2019ve cleaned the house or uncluttered a closet but the thought of spring cleaning can be overwhelming! \u00a0The best way to approach it is to get organized, set priorities and approach one task at a time. \u00a0To get you started, here is a list of my top six places that need attention:<\/p>\n

1.<\/strong> Closets \u2013 Are you holding on to outdated or ill-fitting clothes or something that you haven\u2019t worn in over a year? \u00a0It\u2019s time to clear them out and donate them for better use!
\n <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

2.<\/strong> Cabinets \u2013 When was the last time you looked at the expiration dates on the products in you medicine chest? \u00a0Take some time to check them and properly discard anything that is past its prime. \u00a0You could also take this opportunity to do something with all of those little travel size toiletries. \u00a0I like to fill \u201cguest boxes\u201d to keep in the spare rooms so I have supplies handy for friends and family.
\n <\/strong><\/div>\n
3.<\/strong> Pantry \u2013 If you take a minute to really look at your pantry, you\u2019ll probably notice the old cooking supplies, stale cereal and massive amounts of plastic bags. \u00a0Clean it out!
\n <\/strong><\/div>\n
4. <\/strong> Offices \u2013 Take the time to sit down and clear out those stacks of junk mail, magazines and things to file.
\n <\/strong><\/div>\n
5.<\/strong> Storage containers \u2013 Do you remember what\u2019s in all of those boxes filling the garage or attic? \u00a0If not, then they\u2019re probably not worth the storage space. \u00a0Sort through them and decide what you really want to keep and what can be put in the garage sale. \u00a0You might even want to invest in some totes to protect your valuables from water or critter damage.
\n <\/strong><\/div>\n
6.<\/strong> Garage \u2013 Since you\u2019re already out there sorting through the storage containers, you might as well go ahead and organize all of the other stuff that\u2019s gotten tossed or piled in the space where your car should be.<\/div>\n
