{"id":9334,"date":"2011-02-21T18:09:50","date_gmt":"2011-02-22T00:09:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.withamymac.com\/news\/?p=9334"},"modified":"2011-03-02T11:27:23","modified_gmt":"2011-03-02T17:27:23","slug":"working-out-tips-motivation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withamymac.com\/news\/2011\/02\/21\/working-out-tips-motivation\/","title":{"rendered":"Working Out Tips &#8211; How can I stay motivated to work out?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"exercise motivation\" href=\"http:\/\/fittip.me\/hRlPEk\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-9336\" style=\"margin: 10px; border: 3px solid black;\" title=\"exercise motivation\" src=\"http:\/\/www.withamymac.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/si2011.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"155\" height=\"155\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.withamymac.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/si2011.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.withamymac.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/si2011-150x150.jpg 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 155px) 100vw, 155px\" \/><\/a>Working out tips are useless unless you put them in to action and get to the gym.\u00a0 That being said, unless you are a extreme hardcore, getting your butt to the gym routinely is hard for just about every single person.\u00a0 Everyone has their reasons for working out.\u00a0 Whatever your reason here is a short list of working out tips that will keep you motivated enough to make it to the gym.<\/p>\n<h2>Working Out Tip #1 &#8211; Pictures<\/h2>\n<p>Everyone hates on magazines cause they are photoshopped to death and completely unrealistic.\u00a0 Unfortunately, we all judge people almost completely, at first, by their appearance.\u00a0 With this in mind, you should cut out a picture of exactly what you want to look like and put it some place as a reminder of what you are aiming for.\u00a0 Don\u2019t just say \u201cI want to be thinner\u201d because you won\u2019t EVER be thin enough.\u00a0 Find a picture of someone who has the body you want, cut it out, put it somewhere you will see it everyday. (NOTE: Don\u2019t get caught making out with the picture cause that is very awkward for both parties.)<\/p>\n<h2>Working Out Tip #2 &#8211; Set Small Goals<\/h2>\n<p>It is almost always easier to concentrate on getting over a small hurdle on the path to success than trying to work on your final goal (which may be a year from now!).\u00a0 Use small goals to accomplish your big\/final objective.\u00a0 For example, it would be unwise to say you are going to lose 20 lbs. and then weigh yourself every day hoping to see dramatic weight loss.\u00a0 After 5 days you are going to be so upset you will probably quit all together.\u00a0 Instead, make a small goal like losing 1 lb. a week with a final objective 20 weeks down the road.\u00a0 You will probably lose weight more quickly than a small objective and still feel motivated weeks down the road.<\/p>\n<h2>Working Out Tip #3 &#8211; Get Your Jam On<\/h2>\n<p>I have one playlist on my ipod that is my \u201cworkout playlist\u201d.\u00a0 I know those songs forward and back because I only listen to them when I am at the gym.\u00a0 I think we have all seen the people at the gym with their ipod blaring and just destroying the gym equipment pump PumP PUMP PUMP!!!!\u00a0 At first they look ridiculous, but then there is a little part inside that wishes we had that drive and motivation to power through an intense lifting set.<\/p>\n<h2>Here is today\u2019s goal:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Make a workout playlist (<em>Rocky<\/em> theme song optional, but recommended)<\/li>\n<li>Add to your ipod<\/li>\n<li>Make everyone jealous at the gym because you look and feel like you are in your own 80\u2019s montage as you lift to your favorite jams<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>So there are 3 working out tips and motivators to stop exercising your \u2018nacho to mouth\u2019 muscles and start getting some real action where it counts.<\/p>\n<p>I am ready to change my workout playlist so please let me know your favorite work out music in the comments.
