What to eat after a workout!

According to a study published in the November 2007 issue of Fitness Magazine, following your workout with a bowl of whole grain cereal and skim milk will allow you to recover better than relying on a typical sports drink. Apparently, it will not only make you feel full, but it will also leave you feeling energized and refreshed.
Of course, I’m always a big fan of having cereal for any snack or meal so this study definitely caught my interest. After having tried it myself, I would have to agree with the results. And, knowing that the protein and fiber after a workout are a bonus, I’m going to stock up on all of my favorites.
When choosing a cereal, remember to get one that is 100% whole grain and less than 5g of sugar per serving. You’ll also want to keep in mind the number of calories per serving and be sure to check the serving size.
