P90X Review Progress Report: Week 8

Week 8 of P90X was a recovery week.  I was feeling really strong after taking Week 7 workouts to the gym so I was a little bummed to have a week of no weights.  However, I ended up feeling under the weather the whole week so it was all I could do to make it through the recovery set.  I’m not seeing huge results yet because anytime I work out really hard, I end up so hungry that I know I overeat my “burn”.  I’m working on making the transition to more protein in my diet so maybe I can get a bit more ripped.  The next few weeks of intense lifting should be interesting.

Side Note:  I will have to say that I have AmyMac’d this experiment to make it work for me.  I’ve rearranged some of the days to fit my schedule, as needed, and even combined workouts.  I have not followed this to the book.  No matter how hard I try, I have to make things my own.  So take these reviews for what they are, my experience, and form your own opinion. These workouts are great, Tony is great and I’m sure if you follow it exactly, you’ll have great results.  I am not unhappy with my results because I know that you get out of it what you put into it.
