Exercise How To: Upper Back Stretch
Fitness How To Target:
Upper Back Muscles
Shoulders
Back pain is such a common problem, but usually the pain is in the lower back. However, whenever we sit too long or are under pressure, our shoulders and upper back tense up. This stretch is designed to release that upper back and shoulder tension but you’ll feel a nice pull in the lower back, as well, with a good rounded back. Make sure to breathe as you hold the stretch and really focus on feeling those muscles relax. This exercise move works well as part of a mid or post-workout stretching routine but it also feels great in the middle of a stressful day!
